Ingredients
  

  • 2 teaspoons smoked paprika
  • 1 teaspoon chipotle chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • salt and pepper
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 2 tablespoons whole grain mustard
  • 6 (6 ounce) salmon fillets
  • fresh thyme, for serving

Method
 

  1. Set your oven to 450 degrees Fahrenheit and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a small bowl, combine honey, whole grain mustard, smoked paprika, chipotle chili powder, onion powder, and garlic powder; whisk thoroughly.
  3. Arrange the salmon fillets on the prepared baking sheet and season them with salt.
  4. Generously spoon the honey mustard mixture over each salmon piece.
  5. Bake the salmon for 10 to 12 minutes until it's thoroughly cooked.
  6. For a nice caramelized finish, switch the oven to broil and place the salmon under the broiler for 1 to 2 minutes while keeping a close watch.
  7. Garnish with fresh thyme and a sprinkle of flaky sea salt before serving warm. Enjoy your meal!

Notes

  • To get a beautiful caramelized glaze, carefully broil the salmon at the end for 1–2 minutes. Fresh thyme adds a lovely aroma but can be omitted if unavailable. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 2 days.
