Ingredients
  

  • 2 bananas
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg

Method
 

  1. Slice the bananas into rounds about 1/2 inch thick.
  2. Melt the butter by microwaving at 50% power for 30 seconds until almost melted, then stir.
  3. Combine the brown sugar, cinnamon, and nutmeg in a medium bowl and mix well.
  4. Add the banana slices and melted butter into the bowl and toss gently to coat evenly.
  5. Place the banana rounds in a single layer in the air fryer basket using tongs.
  6. Air fry at 375 degrees Fahrenheit for 4-5 minutes until tender and caramelized.
  7. Serve immediately over toasted cinnamon swirl bread, pancakes, waffles, or with ice cream or yogurt topped with chopped walnuts.

Notes

  • The bananas cannot be too ripe or they will turn out mushy. The banana slices should be ½ inch or thicker to avoid mushiness. Air fry in a single layer for even cooking. Perfect as a topping or a quick treat.
