Servings: 4 servings

Ingredients

  • 1 lb chicken tenders
  • ¼ cup honey
  • 2 tbsp unsalted butter, melted
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1 tsp salt
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs (panko or regular)
  • Cooking spray

Method

  1. Prepare the honey butter garlic sauce by mixing honey, melted butter, minced garlic, paprika, salt, and black pepper in a bowl, then reserve half for later use.
  2. Coat each chicken tender thoroughly in the honey garlic sauce, then press them into the breadcrumbs so they get evenly covered.
  3. Heat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C) to ensure a crispy coating and juicy interior.
  4. Lightly spray the air fryer basket and lay out the coated chicken tenders in a single layer. Cook for about 10 to 12 minutes, turning them halfway, until golden and cooked through.
  5. Once cooked, spoon the reserved honey butter garlic sauce over the tenders for extra flavor. Serve promptly and enjoy.

Notes

  • For a spicy twist, sprinkle in chili flakes or swap regular breadcrumbs with gluten-free versions. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days in the fridge and reheat in the air fryer at 350°F for 4-5 minutes. Cooked tenders can be frozen for up to 2 months and reheated in the air fryer as needed.
