Total Time 40 minutes
Servings: 15 pieces

Ingredients

  • 1 ½ pounds pork belly, patted dry, cut into 1-inch pieces
  • 3 tablespoons canola oil
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 1 teaspoon pepper

Method

  1. Set your air fryer to 400°F and allow it to preheat.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, whisk together canola oil, brown sugar, garlic powder, kosher salt, and pepper.
  3. Add the pork belly cubes to the bowl, tossing them well so each piece is coated with the seasoning mixture.
  4. Arrange the pork belly bites evenly in a single layer inside the air fryer basket. Depending on your air fryer’s size, you might need to cook them in batches.
  5. Cook the pork belly bites for 18 to 20 minutes, stopping occasionally to shake and flip them to ensure they crisp up on all sides.
  6. Once cooked through and crispy, transfer the pork belly bites to a plate and serve while hot.

Notes

  • For best results, make sure pork belly pieces are cut uniformly to promote even cooking. You can serve these bites with your favorite dipping sauce or as a savory snack. Leftovers store well in the fridge for up to 3 days and can be reheated in the air fryer to retain crispiness.
