Ingredients
  

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 head of iceberg lettuce
  • 1/3 cup diced red bell pepper
  • 2 green onions, sliced
  • 1 1/2 tsp freshly grated ginger
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper

Method
 

  1. Heat a large skillet over medium heat.
  2. Add the ground beef and cook until browned, breaking it apart with a spoon.
  3. Add the minced garlic, grated ginger, and diced red bell pepper to the skillet.
  4. Cook for about 5 minutes until the vegetables are tender.
  5. Stir in the soy sauce, salt, and black pepper, and cook for another 2 minutes.
  6. Wash and separate the iceberg lettuce leaves.
  7. Spoon the beef mixture into each lettuce leaf to create wraps.
  8. Garnish with sliced green onions.
  9. Serve immediately and enjoy your healthy protein dinner.

Notes

  • For extra flavor, add a drizzle of sriracha or a sprinkle of toasted sesame seeds. Leftover filling can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
