Ingredients
  

  • 12 ounces fussiloni (giant fussili) pasta *see note below
  • 1 lb lean ground beef *see note below
  • 1 24oz jar pasta sauce *see note below
  • ¼ cup tomato paste
  • 1 & ½ teaspoons Italian seasonings blend
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon pepper
  • ½ teaspoon onion powder
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • 8 ounce block low-moisture mozerella *shredded *see note below
  • Chopped fresh basil leaves & grated parmesan cheese. *optional but SO delicious! Highly recommended.

Notes

  • Pasta: Fusilloni (giant fusilli) is preferred but any pasta will work. Ground beef: 93/7% lean ground beef is used; drain excess fat if using higher fat beef. Pasta sauce: use your favorite brand or homemade tomato sauce. Mozzarella: freshly shred low-moisture, part skim mozzarella for best texture. Cheddar or colby jack cheeses also work well.
