Ingredients

  • 1 lb salmon skinless fillets, cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 1 tbsp cornstarch
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ¼ tsp black pepper
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp honey
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • ½ tsp ginger grated (optional)
  • 2 tbsp water
  • 1 tsp sesame seeds for garnish
  • 2 tbsp green onions chopped, for garnish

Method

  1. Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C).
  2. In a bowl, toss salmon bites with cornstarch, salt, and black pepper until evenly coated.
  3. Lightly spray or brush the air fryer basket with olive oil.
  4. Place salmon bites in the basket in a single layer and air fry for 8 minutes, shaking halfway through.
  5. While salmon cooks, prepare the honey garlic sauce by combining soy sauce, honey, minced garlic, grated ginger (if using), and water in a small saucepan.
  6. Heat the sauce over medium heat until slightly thickened, about 3-4 minutes.
  7. Once salmon bites are cooked, transfer to a bowl and toss with the honey garlic sauce.
  8. Garnish with sesame seeds and chopped green onions.
  9. Serve immediately with rice, veggies, or salad.

Notes

  • For extra crispiness, pat salmon dry before coating with cornstarch. You can adjust the amount of honey and garlic to suit your taste. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 2 days.
