Ingredients
  

  • 1 lb ground beef or beef strips
  • 2 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 1/3 cup BBQ sauce
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 2 tbsp honey
  • 1 tbsp BBQ sauce
  • 1/2 tsp smoked paprika
  • 6 soft taco tortillas
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • Fresh cilantro (optional)

Method
 

  1. Heat the butter in a skillet over medium heat until melted.
  2. Add the minced garlic and cook, stirring, until it releases its aroma.
  3. Introduce the beef to the pan and cook thoroughly until it turns brown, then remove excess fat.
  4. Combine honey, BBQ sauce, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper with the beef and allow it to cook gently for a couple of minutes.
  5. Blend mayonnaise, honey, BBQ sauce, and smoked paprika in a separate bowl to make the taco sauce.
  6. Warm up the tortillas briefly before filling.
  7. Fill each tortilla with the beef mixture, drizzle the prepared taco sauce on top, sprinkle with cheddar cheese, and optionally garnish with fresh cilantro.
  8. Serve right away and enjoy your meal!

Notes

  • You can swap the beef for chicken or tofu according to your preference.
  • Add a pinch of cayenne or red pepper flakes if you like some heat.
