Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup butter melted
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
  • 1 1/2 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tablespoon poppy seeds
  • 1 tablespoon dried minced onion or 1 1/2 teaspoons onion power
  • 1 pound Hawaiian Rolls 24 small or 12 large (my dinner rolls also work great)
  • 1 pound deli ham thinly sliced
  • 1 pound Swiss cheese

Method

  1. Heat your oven to 350°F and grease a 9x13 inch baking pan using cooking spray.
  2. In a bowl, whisk together melted butter, brown sugar, Dijon mustard, Worcestershire sauce, poppy seeds, and dried minced onion until combined.
  3. Slice the rolls horizontally and layer the bottom halves evenly in the baking dish.
  4. Spread half of the ham slices over the bottom layer of rolls.
  5. Add a layer of Swiss cheese on top of the ham, then add the remaining ham slices.
  6. Place the top halves of the rolls back on top to form complete sandwiches.
  7. Pour the butter mixture evenly over the assembled sliders.
  8. Cover the pan tightly with foil and bake for 15 minutes.
  9. After 15 minutes, remove the foil and continue baking for another 10 minutes until the tops are golden and the cheese is melted.
  10. Take out of the oven, slice the sliders apart, and serve warm immediately.

Notes

  • These sliders are best served fresh but can be reheated covered in foil to maintain moisture. You can swap Swiss cheese for your favorite meltable cheese for a different flavor. Great for parties or easy weeknight dinners.
