Grate the cheese and prepare all the ingredients.
Add the dry macaroni and water to a pot and bring to a boil over medium-high heat.
Once boiling, reduce heat to medium-low and cook the pasta until al dente, stirring occasionally.
Allow most of the water to evaporate but keep a little bit in the pot.
Reduce heat to low and stir in heavy cream, cheddar, mozzarella, salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, mustard, and sugar.
Mix until cheese is fully melted and sauce is creamy.
Adjust seasoning to taste if needed.
