- 2 pounds beef stew meat
- 1 (0.87-ounce) packet brown gravy mix
- 1 (1-ounce) packet au jus mix
- 1 cup water
- 1 (12-ounce) package wide egg noodles
- For consistency, I prefer the McCormick Brown Gravy Mix and McCormick Au Jus Mix. Concerned about the sodium level? Opt for reduced sodium gravy and au jus mix. Find the gravy too thin? Simply mix 1 tablespoon of cornstarch with 2 tablespoons of cold broth or water in a small bowl. Stir the mixture into the slow cooker. Cover and increase the heat to high for about 20 minutes or until the sauce thickens.
