Sweet Air Fryer Churro Bites: Easy and Delicious Recipe

Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup plain flour
  • 1 cup water
  • 1/3 cup and 1 tablespoon unsalted butter
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla essence
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 cup white sugar
  • 1 tablespoon cinnamon powder

Method
 

  1. In a saucepan, bring water, butter, salt, and 2 tablespoons sugar to a boil.
  2. Remove from heat and stir in the flour until mixture forms a dough.
  3. Allow the dough to cool slightly.
  4. Beat the egg and vanilla essence together, then mix into the dough until smooth.
  5. Preheat your air fryer to 375°F (190°C).
  6. Using a piping bag or spoon, form small bite-sized portions of dough.
  7. Place dough bites into the air fryer basket, making sure they are spaced evenly.
  8. Cook for 15-20 minutes or until golden and cooked through, shaking the basket halfway.
  9. Mix white sugar and cinnamon powder in a bowl.
  10. Roll the warm churro bites into the cinnamon sugar mixture to coat evenly.
  11. Serve immediately and enjoy warm churro bites.

Notes

  • Store leftover churro bites in an airtight container for up to 2 days. Reheat briefly in the air fryer for best crispiness. For a richer flavor, drizzle with chocolate or caramel sauce.
