This banner has 30 strands side by side, and every strand holds 35 beads: 1,050 beads in all, in 7 colors. The beads hang in straight columns, one strand per column.
What you need
- Beads with a hole wide enough for your cord, such as pony beads, in the colors below (buy a few spare beads of each color)
- 30 strands of cord, each longer than 35 beads plus enough to tie it to the rod and to knot the end
- A wooden dowel or rod a little wider than 30 beads, and scissors

Steps
- Tie strand 1 to the left end of the rod.
- Thread its beads in the order of the guide: the first bead goes up against the rod, the last one is at the bottom.
- Tie a knot under the last bead so nothing slides off, then do strand 2 right next to it, and so on to strand 30.
The finished size depends on your beads: measure one bead and multiply by 30 across and 35 down. This banner has never been made with real beads, and the colors on screen are close matches, not exact ones. Make one strand first and check it against the picture.
